Cryotherapy
Expert Physical Therapy
Cryotherapy is a treatment that exposes the body to extremely cold temperatures for a short period of time, usually 2–4 minutes. The cold triggers the body’s natural healing response, causing blood vessels to constrict and then dilate once you warm back up, improving circulation and reducing inflammation. It’s non-invasive, quick, and leaves many people feeling refreshed and energized.
Key benefits:
- Relieves pain
- Reduces inflammation
- Speeds up recovery
- Calorie burn
- Boosts metabolism
- Improves longevity & cellular repair

How Does Cryotherapy Work?
Cryotherapy exposes the body to extremely cold temperatures (usually between –150°F and –200°F) for a short time—typically 2–4 minutes in a whole-body chamber or through targeted cold applications. The sudden cold causes your blood vessels to constrict, pulling blood away from the skin and extremities toward your core to protect vital organs.
When the session ends and you warm back up, your blood vessels dilate again, sending oxygen-rich, nutrient-dense blood back to your muscles, joints, and tissues. This cycle helps:
- Reduce inflammation and pain by calming irritated nerves and tissues.
- Flush out toxins and metabolic waste while delivering fresh nutrients.
- Boost circulation and recovery for sore muscles and injuries.
In addition to physical effects, the cold triggers a release of endorphins—your body’s natural mood boosters—leaving many people feeling refreshed, energized, and mentally uplifted after a session.
Cryotherapy FAQs
What should I wear?
We’ll provide socks, gloves, and slippers to protect your hands and feet. For the session itself, clients wear undergarments or a swimsuit and go into the chamber in a robe.. The goal is to expose as much skin as possible to the cold air while keeping sensitive areas covered.
